ASUS Holds Sneak Peek ROG Phone 5, Coming June 2021
ASUS plans to launch the successor to rog phone 3 gaming smartphone this year in Indonesia. Before the launch event was held on June 14, 2021, ASUS also gathered journalists to see what the ASUS RoG Phone 5 smartphone looks like and its advantages. There are two devices introduced, namely ASUS RoG Phone 5 and RoG Phone 5 Ultimate.
RoG Phone 5 and its Ultimate version come with Qualcomm's fastest SoC to date, the Snapdragon 888. This SoC itself already uses the fastest processor from ARM with Cortex X1. With the Adreno 660 GPU which is currently the fastest for Android devices, of course it will make the games on Google Play will feel very smooth.
ROG Phone 5 is designed with Centered-CPU Design technology where the space component for the CPU is placed in the center flanked by two batteries beside it. It is also equipped with 3D Vapor Chamber components that are useful to ensure the device is able to handle excessive temperature problems well so that it will not interfere with the game as well as comfort even if used intensely for a long duration.
ROG Phone 5 Series is also equipped with AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms time response only. In addition, ASUS also has audio system technology on ROG Phone 5 Series through two speakers placed in front and in collaboration with Dirac. The installed battery has a capacity of 6000 mAh that can be charged using Quick Charge 5 technology with 65 watts.
ROG Phone 5 also has the capability to connect to 5G networks. However, currently supporting n40 channels is only on ROG Phone 5 Ultimate only. It could be that the n40 band still can't connect to ROG Phone 5.
ASUS ROG Phone 5 also comes with a wide range of accessories. One of the most famous today is ROG Kunai, which is now entering the 3rd generation. I asked if ROG Phone 5 can use accessories issued for ROG Phone 2 and 3 or not. ASUS also replied that some can and some can not.
Some accessories can not be used on the latest smartphones from ASUS it is due to existing dimension issues. For example, the larger ASUS ROG Phone 5 screen makes it incompatible with older accessories. However, ASUS also has a list of old accessories that can be connected with ROG Phone 5, such as ROG Kunai 2.
