Eight acne products that can be found in the kitchen

It's no secret: a pimple can jump up on your face at the most unexpected moment-on the eve of your best friend's wedding, or an interview for your dream job. However, this is not a reason to run to a pharmacy or a store. It is enough to look into your refrigerator. In our article, we will tell you about the top 8 effective remedies for perfect skin.

Eight acne products that can be found in the kitchen

The problem of acne worries not only teenagers but also adults. According to statistics, 80% of people aged 12 to 25 years suffer from it, and about 30-40% are older than 25 years. Cosmetic brands regularly release more and more new beauty products to combat this common problem, but there are more natural products that you don't even need to go to the store for. It is about them that we will discuss in our material.

Bananas

Bananas effectively nourish the skin and perfectly remove keratinized cells from the skin surface and improve the complexion (thanks to the acids included in their composition). This fruit is rich in vitamins B and C, has antiseptic properties and accelerates the healing process of inflammation. What makes bananas invaluable in the fight against acne is potassium and antioxidants. They help to get rid of irritation and redness of the skin quickly.

To get rid of inflammation, you will need a mask made of the fresh pulp of a ripe banana. The delicious mixture should be applied to the pimple for 10 minutes and then washed off with warm water. To accelerate the effect, repeat the procedure in the morning and the evening.

Turmeric

Turmeric contains antioxidants —vitamins C and E — that make it an ideal remedy for acne. They repair damaged skin and prevent bacteria from multiplying. Curcumin, which gives this plant an orange hue, has powerful anti-inflammatory properties.

To prepare a mask for acne, you need to mix half a tablespoon of turmeric and a couple of spoons of flower honey. Apply the mixture to cleansed skin twice a day for 15-20 minutes. Please note that there are no artificial dyes in the composition of turmeric.

One of the reasons essential oils are incredibly effective in fighting inflammation is that they have antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.

For a hand-made acne serum, you will need two drops of tamanu oil, four drops of sage, three drops of cloves, two drops of lemongrass, ten drops of geranium and 12 drops of frankincense. Gently mix all these ingredients and apply them to the inflamed areas of the skin 2-3 times a day for three days.

Cardamom

Cardamom is the most popular ingredient in Ayurvedic medicine, but Western cosmetics manufacturers undeservedly forget about it. The seeds and essential oil of this plant have powerful antiseptic properties.

To prepare a soothing mask, crush a tablespoon of cardamom and black sesame seeds in a small bowl, add a little distilled water to thicken the mixture. The paste should be applied to clean face skin twice a day.

Nutmeg

On the Web, you can find many recipes for a mask for acne based on nutmeg. The thing is that this spice helps with acne, cleanses the pores and, as a bonus, visibly brightens the skin.

To prepare an exfoliating mask, you will need a teaspoon of crushed nutmeg and a tablespoon of starch. The second ingredient will help to balance the pH of the skin. To turn the mixture into a paste, add the apple cider vinegar. Apply the mask to wet skin, gently massage the face and rinse with water.

Chamomile

Chamomile can calm not only your nerves but also the inflammation of the skin. This plant also perfectly cleanses and moisturizes. Even in ancient Rome, chamomile flowers were used to heal wounds and treat acne, so why don't we use this valuable ingredient now?

To soothe the skin, dry it, and then get rid of acne, take three tablespoons of dry chamomile, pour them with cold water, bring to a boil, let cool, pour into ice moulds and freeze. Wipe your face with ice cubes every morning, paying particular attention to inflammation.

Matcha (powdered Japanese green tea)

Matcha contains 127 times more antioxidants than regular green tea. Polyphenols and tannins effectively fight the bacteria that provoke the appearance of acne, and acne relieves redness and inflammation.

Mix a tablespoon of organic green matcha tea, white kaolin clay (it will help remove toxins), and turn the mixture into a thick paste and add distilled water. Apply the mask locally on the redness for 5-7 minutes, and then rinse with water.

Black pepper

To prepare the scrub, chop a teaspoon of black pepper and black molasses (molasses) and mix. Molasses contains lactic acid, which stimulates the renewal of skin cells and accelerates the healing of scars on the site of acne.
