So far, the design of a smart band does not escape its small and minimalist shape. Unfortunately, the design will make the mounted screen has small dimensions that will make it difficult for some people to see. It is different from the solution offered by Huawei on its latest smart band named Huawei Band 6.

Huawei Band 6 offers smart wristband devices primarily used to measure health levels with a broader screen. That makes it look like a smartwatch. Not only that, but Huawei also equips their smart band with more exclusive features as well as animations and widgets that are no different from a smartwatch.

Unfortunately, Huawei does not provide further information about the processor used, the ram capacity and internal storage, and even the capacity of the implanted battery. But to be sure, this device uses only a single-core processor.

Charger

This device comes with a charger whose design is specific to Huawei Band 6 only. Like most smartwatches, Huawei Band 6 also uses a magnet system to attach a battery charging connector. Whereas usually, a brilliant band is very rarely found with a battery charging design like this.

design

If other intelligent band designs have small dimensions, it is different from what is used on Huawei Band 6. Huawei Band 6 looks like a smartwatch that has tiny dimensions. Moreover, currently, the box model on a smartwatch is on the rise. The device's material is made of polycarbonate plastic, and the straps are made of rubber.

The screen of Huawei Band 6 uses AMOLED or Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode type. The dimensions of the screen are 1.47 inches with a resolution of 192 × 368 pixels. Although made of plastic, the screen itself is pretty resistant to minor impacts. However, keep the screen away from dust and sand as it will surely scratch it and use a scratch-resistant coating wherever possible.

The AMOLED screen has a touch function, so users can press or swipe to select and switch menus. In addition, on the right side, there is a button that has multifunctional. When the device is off, this button helps turn the device on and off. While the device is on, it acts as the app drawer and home unlock button.

If you are bored, you can also replace this device with straps. Until now, there have been many who sell belts on e-commerce in Kenya. Changing the strap is also relatively easy, just gouging out the end of the strap connected to the band. After that, slide the strap up slowly, and it will come off immediately.

At the bottom of the device, there are also several sensors. These include heart rate detection sensors and oxygen levels in the blood. In addition, there are two connectors for charging the battery. Huawei Band 6 also has an accelerometer sensor as well as a gyroscope.

The band can be attached to a smartphone using the Huawei Health app. This application will synchronize the data on the smart band to see the information comfortably. The app also provides firmware updates, a wide range of watch face collections, and other settings.

Like a smartwatch, Huawei Band 6 has features such as heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, SpO2, breathing, notifications, weather, clock, alarm, flashlight, and music control. Features that are commonly found on almost every smartwatch that has been on the market. All of that is also presented with the same animations as those on the smartwatch.

If you're an intelligent band user, of course, the watch face is pretty boring because it looks so tiny. Because the screen dimensions of Huawei Band 6 are relatively large, you can see the watch's face. To add a watch face, you can use the Huawei Health app to download and directly pair it on Band 6. Some watch faces can even be colored when we touch the screen.

Huawei Band 6 can also provide notification information coming from messaging apps such as Whatsapp and Telegram. You can see all messages immediately if we swipe the screen up. Unfortunately, there is a bug where one Whatsapp message can be displayed twice on the Huawei Band 6 screen. Sometimes even the message is late to enter from the smartphone to the smart band.

Then what about voice and video call notifications from Whatsapp and Telegram? Just like a smartwatch from Huawei, all these notifications will appear on the screen of this smart bracelet only when the smartband is attached to the hand. This certainly makes the battery in the smartband will be more efficient. And users won't miss a single call from either mobile or from a third-party app.

This smartband turns out to support many sports modes. And unabashedly, Huawei Band 6 can support up to 96 sports modes at once. The same is also found on smartwatch devices from Huawei itself. So by using this smart bracelet, almost all the sports we do can be detected well.

Verdict
Huawei, which has a 1+8+N strategy, seems to be actively marketing its "8" section. That means they are pushing the U.S. market. One of them with smartband devices, such as Huawei Band 6, has the shape of a smartwatch.

The performance of this smart bracelet is good enough for everyday use.
The price offered by Huawei also includes affordable for the size of a smartband and smartwatch. With KES 8,000, this device can already be owned. Users can get all the advanced functions such as sports recording, heart rate, and SpO2 measurements like a regular smartwatch.
