Tesla: Musk pushes back Cybertruck and Roadster 'hopefully next year'
Elon Musk has confirmed that the Cybertruck and Roadster aren't expected until " at least " 2023.
As expected, the American Tesla has published its latest quarterly financial results, with a new record profit that exceeds 2 billion dollars. The turnover climbs when to him to 17.7 billion dollars, an increase of 65% compared to last year.
For the current year, Tesla wants to be optimistic of course, with in particular the opening of new " giga factories " , but the manufacturer remains cautious in the face of the supply problem which should continue to impact its performance in 2022.
Regarding the presentation of novelties, this would not be relevant according to Elon Musk. Indeed, the latter announced: “ If we were to present new vehicles, our total production of vehicles would decrease. We will not be launching new models this year .” That is clear.
Regarding the long-awaited Cybertruck, presented in 2019, Elon Musk indicated that the latter was postponed to 2023, just like the Roadster model. “ Tesla Cybertruck and Roadster are postponed until next year, hopefully ,” said the Tesla honcho.
Elon Musk also said on Twitter that he was able to drive the latest Cybetruck prototype around the Tesla factory in Texas and that the experience was " awesome ". Recall that Tesla initially hoped to be able to deliver the first copies of the Cybertruck at the end of 2021.
