The Dimensity 9000 has been touted as the SoC of all superlatives, outperforming Qualcomm on paper, particularly in terms of sheer computational performance and ISP throughput. It is unclear whether all of this will wind up in our phones. The first Dimensity 9000 benchmarks are already out to view things more clearly. Let's compare them to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1's.

Antutu 9

  • 1017488(MediaTek Dimensity 9000)
  • 1027345(Snapdragon 8 Gen 1)
  •  827936(iPhone 13 Pro Max)
  • 7835999(Snapdragon 888 ,Xiaomi mi 11 ultra)
  •  717221(Snapdragon 888,OPPO Find X3 Pro)

 Antutu 9 (CPU)

  • 256987(MediaTek Dimensity 9000)
  • 231353(Snapdragon 8 Gen 1)
  • 220085(iPhone 13 Pro Max)
  • 204256(Snapdragon 888 ,Xiaomi mi 11 ultra)
  • 193952(Snapdragon 888, OPPO Find X3 Pro)

 Antutu 9 (GPU)

  • 393810(MediaTek Dimensity 9000)
  • 4493569(Snapdragon 8 Gen 1)
  • 316058(iPhone 13 Pro Max)
  • 297466(Snapdragon 888 ,Xiaomi mi 11 ultra)
  • 314386(Snapdragon 888, OPPO Find X3 Pro)

 Antutu 9 (MEM)

  • 186890(MediaTek Dimensity 9000)
  • 173697(Snapdragon 8 Gen 1)
  • 158002(iPhone 13 Pro Max))
  • 130600(Snapdragon 888 ,Xiaomi mi 11 ultra)
  • 116689(Snapdragon 888, OPPO Find X3 Pro)

 Antutu 9 (UX)

  • 179801(MediaTek Dimensity 9000)
  • 173697(Snapdragon 8 Gen 1)
  • 133791(iPhone 13 Pro Max)
  • 151277(Snapdragon 888 ,Xiaomi mi 11 ultra)
  • 92167(Snapdragon 888, OPPO Find X3 Pro)

With the Antutu 9, Dimensity 9000, unsurprisingly, outperforms the Snapdragon 888 seen in the finest models of 2021. However, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the playing field is nearly even. The Dimensity 9000 has a significantly lower score than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (1, 017, 488 vs. 1, 027, 345). When we look at the details, it still outperforms its competitor in every category except the GPU (total graphics power), which it considerably outperforms.

Quite appropriately, we discover this slight advantage on GFXBench's Aztec graphic benchmark, where the Dimensity 9000 displays 43 FPS vs. 49 at Qualcomm. In single-core workloads, the Dimensity 9000 is marginally ahead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with 1273 points vs. 1225 for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It has a clear advantage in multicore, earning 4324 points to the Snapdragon's 3767.
